# EmployeeStatuses

`EmployeeStatuses` records the employment-state code carried by each `clsTeamAssignment`. That status feeds the team's contactability rules: when `clsTeamAssignment` derives email addresses, the library treats non-active, blank, or otherwise disallowed statuses as non-contactable and returns an empty address under [BR-VP-022](../../business-rules.md#br-vp-022-team-member-email-address-derivation).

## Purpose
- Represent the employment-state qualifier attached to a team-member row.
- Support email-address derivation logic that only emits an address for qualifying team members under [BR-VP-022](../../business-rules.md#br-vp-022-team-member-email-address-derivation).
- Distinguish active team assignments from inactive or other statuses that should not produce a contact address.*

## Context
- Namespace: `SAIF.Business.View.Policy`
- Assembly/package: `SAIF.Business.View.Policy` (embedded)

## Public members
| Member | Signature | Purpose |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Enum members not individually enumerated in analysis** | `Public Enum EmployeeStatuses` | The analysis confirms that the enum supplies employee-status values for team members, but it did not list the individual members or ordinals. The exact status set is therefore left undocumented here rather than guessed. |

## Behavioral notes
- `clsTeamAssignment` consumes this enum while deciding whether a team member should receive a derived email address.
- The analysis explicitly ties non-active, blank, or "other" status outcomes to an empty address under [BR-VP-022](../../business-rules.md#br-vp-022-team-member-email-address-derivation).
- Because the member list was not enumerated, only the status role in email qualification is documented here; the precise labels remain unknown.**

## Constraints and usage notes
- Verify the concrete member names in `clsTeamAssignment.vb` before writing code that persists, serializes, or displays specific employee-status values.**
- Use the enum as a qualification signal for contactability, not as a substitute for the separate `TeamFunctions` role classification.

> **Note:** Statements marked with * were inferred from code structure, naming conventions, or
> contextual evidence where direct confirmation was not available in source artifacts. Statements
> marked with ** could not be confirmed; treat as unknown until verified.
